Vidmantas Tomkus

Vidmantas Tomkus received MSc degree in Physics from Vilnius University. 1990 he started business activities as a broker at First Lithuanian Commodity Exchange and from 1994 until present time has worked at different positions in Telecommunications and Satellite industry like CTO at Radio M-1, CEO at Dicto Citius UAB and Arcus Novus. 2007- he was assigned as an Expert of Interministry Working groups of National Space Program, Integrated Programs in ICT, Mechatronics, Lasers, New Materials, Strategy of Research Infrastructures of Lithuania, Member of Council of Institute Semiconductor Physics of Lithuania and Chairman of National Space Technology Platform of Lithuania. From 2009 Vidmantas Tomkus is acting as a director of Lithuanian Aerospace Association and deals with promotion of Aerospace related activities of Lithuanian R&D institutions and SME's, co-operation with European Space Agency, bilateral relations with National Space Agencies and companies working in the Space industry. 2010 he was assigned as FP7 and Horizon 2020 Space expert from Lithuania. 2012-13 – Vidmantas Tomkus contributed as Chief Technical Officer to the launch of Litsat-1 being one of first Lithuanian satellites.
